PHILOSOPHY
The
philosophy that underpins the program at Henri Nouwen
House is the notion of the "Wounded Healer".
People who have themselves experienced recovery through
the 12 Step Program are inspired to return to Henri
Nouwen House as facilitators to assist others in their
recovery journey.
Designed
to be inspirational and informative, our self-help programs
cover the first three steps of the 12 step Al-Anon Program
for recovery for Dependents and Co-dependents.
Whilst we wish to retain the inspirational notion of
"turning to a higher power", we have no religious
affiliation, and promote no particular spiritual belief.
