In
2006 the management committee bravely launched
its first book, a recipe book featuring
wonderful black and white photographs of
significant historical sites, typically
rustic Blackwood Valley scenes and memorabilia,
alongside tried and true sweets recipes
from local cooks. The towns of Bridgetown,
Balingup, Greenbushes and Nannup were the
four towns featured. We were justifiably
proud of this fabulous creation but couldn’t
have guessed how wonderfully locals and
visitors alike would respond. Such was the
demand, we had to go to print a second time
and sold out. After the launch of Henri
Nouwen House's second successful recipe
book “More Towns: Four Seasons”
in 2010, enquires have been ongoing regarding
their immensely popular, sold-out 2006 Recipe
Book “Four Towns: Sweet Memories”
so a limited short run of 500 copies of
the original recipe book is now available
at a cost of $20.00 through many outlets
in the four towns, or can be purchased combined
with the 2010 book for $40.00.
